The marimba sings. Its beautiful tones, full of soothing vibrations, gently embrace the heart.

Ria Ideta studied at the Paris Conservatory and won first prize at the inaugural Paris International Marimba Competition.

Based in Berlin, she has collaborated with world-class artists such as Emmanuel Pahud (flute), Paul Meyer (clarinet), and Eric Le Sage (piano), continually exploring new possibilities for the marimba. Her performances, filled with delicate and soothing vibrations, challenge and redefine traditional perceptions of percussion.

With her extraordinary versatility across genres, seamless arrangements, and exceptional technique, Ria is now embarking on a full-scale performance career in Japan.

Her debut recording of *Sugaria*, a piece that has become a favorite in the marimba repertoire, is now available - performed by none other than its premiering artist, Ria Ideta.

Ria Ideta is leading us through her very imaginative and rich world of sounds and colours, as the brilliant arranger/performer of this magnificent album.

Emmanuel Pahud
Principal flute of Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Soloist

Quel Regal.

Eric Le Sage, Pianist
