The OverLay
We are bringing Love and Rock&Roll to you. A five-member rock and roll band from Tokyo. In 2023, vocalist Johnny, guitarist Yoshimi Soma, and drummer Akito formed the band's foundation and co-wrote Today's Over, which would later become their first single. In 2024, bassist YuuNa joined the band, and they began performing live in Tokyo. While they only performed four times that year, they began working on songs for their album. In September 2025, just six months after starting production, they released their first album, Rock ON. Simultaneously, they successfully held their first self-organized event, Obare no Kaobare, and welcomed keyboardist Hiyori Usami, becoming a five-member band. In August of the same year, they released the music video for Supercar, which garnered significant attention. In 2026, they expanded their activities, performing at Design Festa and becoming involved in the planning and management of live events, establishing support from many musicians. In the same year, they released their second music video, Shooting!!,gaining even more momentum. Their pop and catchy melodies, modern sounds, and performances that evoke blues and hard rock intertwine to create unique yet somehow nostalgic music. Their close bond and dedication to music, evident in their live performances and social media, has drawn in many friends, bringing smiles to those who see them, encouraging those who listen, and connecting with those who walk alongside them. As a Rock'n'Roll to today's increasingly individualistic society, The OverLay shines a light of human warmth.
