This audio is a piano accompaniment designed for fundamental double bass practice using open strings
(Simandl Method, Book 1, Part 1, pages 6-7).
It helps you naturally develop stability of sound, sense of tempo, and harmonic awareness.

Even if you can play well on open strings, you may find it suddenly becomes difficult when you start using the left hand.
This often happens because the instrument is supported by the left hand, which changes your natural balance.

In real performance, you need to focus on the music and your surroundings, so you cannot keep watching your hands.
This is a good time to develop a natural and balanced setup.

In this practice, the left hand is not used.
Instead, you will learn to stabilize the instrument using your body and right arm.
Place your left hand lightly on the upper bout of the instrument.

Pitch: A = 442 Hz
