Hibikilla's album "KillerTune," released in November 2023, saw Tokyo-based producer ymxk reconstructing the lead track "And Life Begins" along with its music video into an "Inner Vision Remix." Drawing from influences like Protoje and Chronixx, the remix features a fusion of modern reggae/dancehall minimalism and emotive chord progressions, resonating deeply with the artist's introspective themes.
Hibikilla is a reggae/dancehall artist from Ebetsu, Hokkaido, currently based in the Kanto region. He started his musical journey in his teens, and his 2004 release "Hyakuretsuken" became an anthem in the sound clash scene, claiming the #1 spot on the Cisco Records 7-inch singles chart. Between 2006 and 2009, he released four albums in steady succession: "No Problem," "Nouko Minzoku," "LIFE," and "BE FREE." Even after a hiatus to raise his family, he returned without missing a beat. In 2020, "Kono Sekai feat. Dabo" hit #1 on the iTunes Store reggae singles chart. "Wha Gwaan Midnight feat. Tach-B and Zukie" went on to claim the #1 spot globally for annual reggae streams on the web3 music platform Audius.
