Artist Profile

  • Leaps and Bounds

    Formed in 2019, Leaps and Bounds is an alternative rock band based in Gunma, Japan. Rooted in alternative rock, the band creates a genre-defying sound that incorporates elements of R&B, funk, disco, and electronic music. Blending the energy of live houses with club culture, they pursue a unique vision of contemporary pop music. In 2022, they won the grand prize at ROCKERS 2022, followed by the Excellence Award at Slipstream 2023. The band released their first full-length album, "Leaps and Bounds," in 2023, and has continued to release new works including "goat," "ORANGE," "Teenage Teenage," and "Hz Romance." In 2024, they performed at KITASAN ROLLING 2024, followed by an appearance at I ROCKS 2025. In 2026, they launched their self-produced event series, "The Challenge LIVE TOUR!!," which included a two-man show with Ivy to Fraudulent Game and three performances across Japan. The tour also featured the band's first-ever one-man show, marking another major step in their growth. Expanding their activities from Gunma to audiences across Japan, Leaps and Bounds continues to push beyond genre and scene boundaries while presenting a fresh and distinctive vision of modern pop music.
