青森・弘前の街の匂いと日常のリアルをそのままラップに落とし込む、HIPHOP / R&Bアーティスト Bonaparte が放つ2025年10月リリースのEP 『Van Gogh』。

本作は、地元青森のシャッター商店街、白神山地、運行停止する大鰐線など、ありふれた日常の景色や仲間とのリアルを、まるで絵画を描くかのように楽曲に変換した作品。孤独や狂気、儚さと力強さを同時に描き出し、聴く者に生々しい地元の空気を届ける。

代表作リリックの随所には「まるで俺はゴッホ」という比喩が散りばめられ、Bonaparte自身をアートと同化させる表現が特徴。ビートの上で感情や情景が立体的に動き、日常の中の美しさや狂気、葛藤が鮮明に浮かび上がる。また、仲間や街への愛情も同時に描かれ、地元のカルチャーや青春の息遣いを感じさせる。

This work transforms ordinary local scenes—shuttered shopping streets in Aomori, the Shirakami Mountains, the discontinued Owani Line—and the realness of hanging out with friends into songs, as if painting a picture. It simultaneously depicts loneliness, madness, transience, and strength, delivering the raw, local atmosphere to the listener.

Throughout his signature lyrics, metaphors like "I'm just like Van Gogh" are scattered, a characteristic expression that merges Bonaparte himself with art. Emotions and scenes move three-dimensionally over the beats, vividly bringing out the beauty, madness, and conflicts within everyday life. Simultaneously, his love for his crew and the city is depicted, conveying the pulse of local culture and youth.

In 'Van Gogh', symbolic imagery—a head swaying like a farm road, names polished and carved, the presence of home embodied by F.A.T, a home to return to like Shohei Ohtani—links local reality with self-expression. The flow and melody are fluid and free, where rap and singing intertwine, building a unique musical world throughout the entire EP.
