Shigeru Kimoto is a singer-songwriter from Hamamatsu, Japan, known for evocative lyrics that paint vivid scenes and beautiful melodies that capture small, everyday emotions. Alongside his role as the leader and vocalist of the band Story, he actively performs as a solo acoustic artist. He is also recognized as a footwork-based performer, skillfully using loopers and effects to build layered performances on stage. From 2016 to 2019, Kimoto was based in Malaysia, performing extensively throughout Southeast Asia. With his band Story, he has released three CDs, while continuing to produce new music as a solo artist. Currently based in Hamamatsu, he delivers his music through a variety of formats, including live house and cafe performances as well as online live streaming. Through songs that resonate emotionally and stay close to the listener, Shigeru Kimoto continues to connect with audiences and expand his fan base.
