This song is inspired by the scenery of Cuba, where I traveled on my honeymoon in 2011. I have many fond memories of the colorful buildings in Havana's Old Town, the delicious mojitos, the wonderful music, and following in Hemingway's footsteps. It happened to coincide with May Day, and we even got to see a marching band. The "Bodeguita" and "Floridita" mentioned in the lyrics are restaurants that the novelist Hemingway loved. A brief reference to his "The Old Man and the Sea" also appears in the song. In homage to Cuba and Latin music, I present this song in a Cha-cha rhythm.
