Dusk settles

In the hollow between

  heartbeat and breath

A slow ripple

Spreads across glass

  shapes bending

    then dissolving

Shadows lean forward

Edges catching

  a faint amber

Was it your hand

  or only the air

    learning my shape?

Streets hum below

Lights dripping into puddles

  of dusk-blue and silver

My skin keeps

  the echo of a touch

    though nothing remains

      but a glow

I close my eyes

  to let the color
