From Shimonoseki-City, ENGAWA BOYZ's 2nd Single.
An ambient soundscape of the Kikugawa Basin on a rainy day.
The chemistry between MC Bōshi's single-loop piano melody and A.E.D's synthesizer reflects a worldview of impermanence.
The song's finale features A.E.D's one-take keyboard recording.
It vividly colors the ephemeral single-loop of daily life, elevating it into a story.
ENGAWA BOYZ is a track-making team led by MC Boshi. MC Boshi a.k.a. Haruyuki Takagishi is a DVJ / MC / Video Director. He traverses sound, words, and visuals, reading the atmosphere of the moment to reconstruct the present. He began performing as MC Boshi in 2014. Centered on freestyle and music production, his style has evolved into a DVJ style that integrates DJing and VJing. He has transformed the venues themselves, from live houses and clubs to restaurants and community spaces, into works of art. At RIZIN 42, he created the entrance theme for fighter Hamamoto Cat Yuta. Additionally, his debut track as the trackmaker ENGAWA BOYZ, YAH OH YOROZU feat. Atsuko, reached No. 6 on the iTunes Techno Japan chart. His essence is that of a HUMAN JOCKEY. He mixes the energy of people and places, playing with sound as he moves freely between silence and frenzy. Flying freely across the boundaries between POP and DOPE, chaos and cosmos, he continues to sample the seeds of ideas.
