Sci-fi decadence and the erosion of humanity. Nostalgic cyber-collage music that depicts a world going mad in the gap between analog and digital.
The sound boldly blends the bold, organic swell of pulsating analog synths with digital elements. The somewhat empty and wistful retro-future texture of '80s new wave and early techno pop is reconstructed with a modern sensibility.
The album is conscious of the new wave revival, where floating retro textures intersect with futuristic sounds.
Artist Profile
Chihaya Murasaki
A singer songwriter who wanders the twilight between dream and reality, expressing his view of life and death and his yearning for it in haunting poetry. His unique world finds beauty in ruin weaving a fragile yet intense philosophy into mellow melodies. Combining ethnic instruments with retro synthesizers, his sound becomes a cabinet of curiosities nostalgic yet cruelly beautiful preserving fleeting illusions in song. In September 2024 he began his career with the release of his debut single The Trigger of a Dream.
