Ryuusenkei is a project by Kunimonde Takiguchi, formed in 2001 as a band. In 2003, the three members, Yuzo Hayashi, Kunimonde Takiguchi, and Takehiro Oshizuka, released the album "CITYMUSIC". The album was included in Tatsuo Sunaga's mix tape, was featured by Naruyoshi Kikuchi in a certain free paper as No. 1 on the annual chart, and became a hot topic among DJs, record collectors, and other heavy listeners. In 2006, the album "TOKYO SNIPER" was released from Happiness Records, becoming an own project of Kunimond Takiguchi. The album won the "BEST1" award in the music category of the "Pop Culture Award 2006" selected by Bunka Derrick (the late Masayuki Kawakatsu + Shu Shimoigusa) and others. In 2009, he released "NATURAL WOMAN," a collaboration album with Atsuko HIYASADA. In 2010, after performing at Okinawa MUSIX, a mini-tour was held at Billboard Live Tokyo and Osaka, and a year-end countdown live performance was held at Motion Blue Yokohama. In 2020, under the name of Ryuusenkei/IHitomitoi, he was in charge of the play accompaniment for the NHK drama "Talio: Two Revenge Deputies". The soundtrack "Talio" was released the same year. In 2021, they performed a 2-day live concert at Billboard Live Tokyo, including an additional performance. In 2022, released a mini-album "Incomplete", the first under the name SRyuusenkei in 16 years. Currently, the basic band is led by Kunimond Takiguchi, with supporting members Toshio Yamanouchi (guitar), Yuko Kitayama (drums), Eiji Hirano (percussion), Tetsuya Hirahata (keyboards), and Toshiro Matsuki (bass). Urban and crystalline mellow groove based on the soul, AOR, and crossover of the 70s and 80s, which are their roots. Their session-based sound, which is reminiscent of Tin Pan Alley and The Sadistics, is supported by a wide range of audiences, and in recent years has been highly acclaimed overseas due to the global city pop revival.
