"Flash Lit the Night"
Today, smartphones, GPS technology, high-performance cameras, and AI have dramatically changed the way private investigators conduct their work.
But when I started my career 46 years ago, things were very different.
We carried paper maps, ran through city streets, searched for public telephones to report back to clients, and relied on film cameras where every shot mattered.
At night, we sometimes had to use a camera flash, pressing the shutter while silently hoping, "Don't let me get caught."
Even with all the technology available today, the final path to the truth still depends on human experience, intuition, and the determination to never give up.
This song is a tribute to the 46 years I have spent as a detective, from the Showa era to the present day, and to the detective spirit that remains unchanged despite the passing of time.
I hope this song resonates not only with those in the investigative profession, but also with anyone who looks back fondly on the Showa era and the memories it holds.
