The Prayers of Wendys (feat. KASANE TETO)

The debut single from Garasu Bunko. This is the very first single by the unique musical unit "Garasu Bunko," formed by Kujira Mirasaka-a promising rising star in the tanka poetry world-and ImoP, a music producer with a diverse musical background. The song was created as a media-mix project to coincide with the nationwide release of "Wendy-tachi no Inori" (The Prayers of Wendys), published by Shoshi Kankanbo, which is the debut tanka collection (an anthology of tanka poems) by Mirasaka, who also wrote the lyrics for this track.

It was commercially published under Shoshi Kankanbo's "Univers" label, a brand dedicated to mid-career poets. The book's bellyband features a review by Director Kunihiko Ikuhara-famous for legendary anime like Revolutionary Girl Utena and Mawaru Penguindrum-who praised the work, stating, "These are words of prayer that allow us to move forward."

The theme of Wendy-tachi no Inori centers on sublimating the pain and trauma carried by adult children of dysfunctional families into a light shaped as prayers for the future, an element deeply reflected in this song. We hope this music gently reaches those carrying various forms of emotional wounds, like a quiet prayer.
