Artist Profile

  • Keiko Horiuchi

Keiko Horiuchi: Raised in Tokyo and Kanagawa prefectures. She studied piano from a young age and became familiar with music through choir and stage performances. During high school, she attended a local school in the suburbs of New York, where she cultivated her musical sensibilities by being exposed to diverse musical cultures such as musicals, opera, and jazz. After graduating from Keio University's Faculty of Science and Technology (Chemistry), she worked in the intellectual property department of a major manufacturer, but her passion for music led her to shift her activities to the stage. In addition to performing at school concerts nationwide as the vocalist/MC of a Latin band, she is involved in studio work such as demo vocals, commercials, and theme park music production, and also works on songwriting, composing, and music production using DTM (Desktop Music). She sang on the Disney short DVD "Tarzan & Jane" and wrote and sang the theme song for "Netto Powerful Pro Baseball 9". She was active for about 10 years in "Meisho Miyagawa-gumi" led by Yasushi Miyagawa. She has honed her skills on the front lines of the music scene, performing in regular concerts at Ginza SWING and other hall concerts nationwide, participating as a chorus member in concerts by Akira Kobayashi, Kiyoshi Nakajo, and Yuzo Kayama, and collaborating with Machiko Watanabe and Shigeru Matsuzaki. At the same time, she is also involved in teaching aspiring singers as a Yamaha PMS vocal instructor. In 2024, she performed at the "Netto Powerful Pro Baseball" 30th Anniversary Concert (Shibuya Orchard Hall). Currently based in Kyoto, she is active mainly performing in hotel lounges and live venues, as well as singing and playing guitar. With expressive power backed by many years of experience, she quietly delivers her music.
