    sammy. / REVERSIES presents himself as a "one-person alternative rock band(?)", crafting a distinctive sound rooted in grunge and alternative rock, with deep influences from Western punk, emo, and rock 'n' roll. While navigating life with bipolar disorder, he officially launched his music career in 2024. On December 18 of the same year, he released his debut album LANDFILL, delivering raw, DIY-driven grunge and alternative rock that laid bare the pain, frustration, and impulses born from self-doubt. Openly identifying as non-binary, sammy. also creates music that stands alongside minorities and those carrying emotional pain. Many of his songs are messages of solidarity - screaming together, sharing wounds, and confronting inner turmoil. Incorporating a significant amount of English lyrics, he continues to create music aimed at reaching audiences both in Japan and abroad.
