  • Shinishi Canto

    Shinishi Canto, meaning "true sky" in the language of Japan's northernmost people, the Ainu, was named by the Okinawan-born members with the wish for [music that reaches seamlessly from north to south]. The poetic, deeply human rap vocals by Ryoma, Ayato, and Wauke ride the beats, radiating a unique aesthetic and intense sense of color. Messages to the world, born from lived experiences and multiple perspectives, along with their skillful and musical approach, are sometimes intense, sometimes gentle, sometimes inorganic, all sublimated into music. From the southern island of Okinawa, the music delivered by Shinishi Canto, bearing an Ainu name, shows expressions as diverse as the sky itself, unconstrained by genre.
