『主馬判官盛久（しゅめはんがんもりひさ）』

平家滅亡後、平家の武将・平盛久（Taira no Morihisa）は京都に潜伏していたが、捕縛される。
鎌倉の源頼朝のもとへ護送され、六条河原（Rokujō-gawara）で処刑されることになる。
盛久は清水寺の観音菩薩を深く信仰していた。処刑の座に座り、最後の経を唱える。
処刑人が太刀を振り下ろすと、不思議な光と共に太刀が真っ二つに折れる。この奇跡を見た頼朝は、神仏の加護があるとして盛久の命を助ける。

"Shumehan Gan Morihisa"

After the fall of the Taira clan, Taira warrior Taira Morihisa was hiding in Kyoto but was captured.
He was escorted to Minamoto no Yoritomo in Kamakura and executed at Rokujō-gawara.
Morihisa was a devout believer in the Kannon Bodhisattva of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. He sat on the execution seat and chanted a final sutra.
When the executioner swung his sword down, a mysterious light appeared and the sword broke in two. Yoritomo, witnessing this miracle, spared Morihisa's life, citing the protection of the gods and Buddha.
