This album is a retelling of The Tongue-Cut Sparrow,
reconstructed through three perspectives sharing the same moment in time.

A mother who chose silence.
A father who chose justice.
A sparrow who knew nothing.

Each acted for love,
and in doing so, each took something away.

Justice saves someone,
while condemning another.
Silence protects someone,
while cutting away the truth.
Innocence knows no sin,
and therefore shatters the world most deeply.

There is no absolute evil in this story.
There is no absolute justice either.

What remains
is the loneliness born from trying to love everyone.
