[Introduction of Timescape]
"Landscape" in English means scenery, but there is also a word "Timescape". As we look at the scenery, sometime we give it a thought about the time passing.
Perspectives and feelings about times are the common theme of this album.
There are various timelines for each song:the past, the present ,and the future.
And not only about the time, but also the space varies from song to song:the earth, the outer space, a dream world, and places of memories, etc.
In terms of arrangement, there is quite a variety:electronic pop, dance pop, acoustic pop, and rock.exploring different kind of music from the past works (songs included in the previous album "Lemonade").
It feels like times are changing every moment. This album will give you an opportunity to stop and look at times as if you were looking at landscapes.
Seven songs that Dr.Chika has continued to work on over the past 15 years since she started producing music are included in this album. Please enjoy a journey through times with selected melody and arrangements.
Artist Profile
Dr.Chika
Geriatric physician, singer songwriter, composer, arranger and vocalist Alongside her work as a geriatric physician caring for older adults, Chika Kobayashi writes, composes, arranges, performs, and releases original music. She began playing the piano in early childhood. During junior high school, she discovered The Beatles through a cassette tape of Western music compiled by her father, an avid record collector. That experience became the foundation of her musical creativity. While at university, she began performing Beatles piano and vocal arrangements at live music venues. In 2007, she formed the pop band Ramune as vocalist and keyboardist, releasing a single through Kirakira Records. She began producing solo works with DTM in 2014, and in 2015 worked as a demonstrator for the KORG Liverpool keyboard, performing the music of Lennon and McCartney. Since 2018, under the artist name Dr.Chika, she has focused on creating piano and music box compositions for sleep, relaxation, and peaceful mornings. Her signature work GOOD NIGHT has received more than three million views on YouTube, and her instrumental music has reached listeners through digital music services around the world. Today, she continues her musical activities under two artist names, Chika Kobayashi for singer songwriter works and Dr.Chika for instrumental music. Through both songs and instrumental compositions, she creates music that accompanies people through the many moments of life and shares it with listeners around the world.
