The third installment in the 12-month consecutive release project is a song written and composed by guitarist Hidaka.
It attempts to fuse the shadowy, melancholic mood reminiscent of classic Japanese pop (kayōkyoku) with modern sound and groove.
The lyrics portray the inner emotions of someone trying to break free from an introverted, indecisive state, metaphorically described as "the act of shielding one umbrella with another."
With its effect-laden sound evoking a sense of haze and ambiguity, this track perfectly suits the rainy season.
Artist Profile
The Bagpipes
Formed in June 2022, the band performed at Fuji Rock's Rookie A Go-Goin July of the following year. From April 2025 to March 2026, they are undertaking a monthly new song release project titled-12 PROJECT-. Influenced by Happy End and James Taylor, they are a Japanese folk rock band.
