Japanese singer-songwriter Taichi Mukai will release his new digital single End Roll on March 11.

Written by Mukai and composed by Lumel, 2hak, and Mukai himself, End Roll is the result of an ongoing collaboration with a trusted creative team, delivering a focused and mature sound.

As Mukai approaches the 10th anniversary of his debut in 2026, the track reflects a return to the ambient influences that shaped his early work, reinterpreted through his current musical sensibility.
Spacious textures, subtle silence, and refined live instrumentation coexist, creating a warm yet restrained soundscape.

True to its title, End Roll captures the emotional tension of an ending that refuses to fully conclude.
The desire to let go and the inability to forget quietly intersect, portraying a fleeting moment where conflicting emotions remain unresolved.

The accompanying visuals were shot by Tokyo-based photographer Maciej Kucia, whose cinematic yet understated style mirrors the emotional depth of the song.

End Roll also serves as a lead-up release to Mukais solo concert at BLUE NOTE PLACE in Ebisu, Tokyo, held on March 13 in celebration of his birthday and upcoming 10th anniversary marking a reflective milestone in his evolving career.
