Shoji Nakagawa has studied early music performance under the guidance of Toshinari Ohashi. He pursued further studies at the Basel Schola Cantorum in Switzerland under the tutelage of Hopkinson Smith, Anthony Rooley, and Crawford Young. He emerged as a finalist in the 6th and 10th Yamanashi International Early Music Competitions.Nakagawa has held concerts primarily in Nagoya and various locations throughout Japan. Additionally, he has organized concerts in China, Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Since 2001, he has consistently hosted recitals in Nagoya, receiving favorable acclaim. Furthermore, since 2007, he has been producing an annual concert series titled "Journey through Baroque Music" in his local community of Kuwana. Alongside his performances, he has provided a platform for numerous young musicians to showcase their talents.
