SXICIDE RYUSEIによるNew EP「Depression.」

Artist Profile

  • SXICIDE RYUSEI

SXICIDE RYUSEI is a rapper and producer hailing from Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. His music transcends genre boundaries a quality underpinned by his vast breadth of knowledge and features lyrics rich in deep, narrative storytelling. With every track self-produced, he crafts a one of a kind world, leading some to describe his work as films for the ears. His fourth album, Ouroboros, stands as the definitive expression of his artistry. Told from the dual perspectives of a deceased friend and the protagonist seeking the truth behind that death, it has been hailed by many as a pinnacle of Japanese hip-hop. He is also highly regarded for his live performances; the staging he designs goes beyond the scope of a typical concert, evoking the atmosphere of a theatrical play or musical. Furthermore, his creative reach is extensive: he works as a mix and mastering engineer and provides artistic direction for young rappers within his home prefecture.
