自身だけではなくユース達の抱える精神疾患や発達障害による苦悩、
自殺衝動を繊細かつ大胆に描いた作品となっている。
ノルウェイの森（著：村上春樹）や、
阿寒に果つ（著：渡辺淳一）、車輪の下（著：ヘルマン・ヘッセ）
などの登場人物が自殺に至る文学作品から強い影響を受けており、
5曲全てをまるで短編小説を読むかのように聴くことが出来るだろう。
