  mayu is a Tokyo-based singer-songwriter and accomplished guitarist.She pairs distinctive guitar phrases with lyrics inspired by everyday experiences,creating songs that feel intimate, relatable, and deeply personal.For mayu, songwriting is much like keeping a journal - a way to capture moments,emotions, and reflections from daily life.I always thought we were destined to be alone forever.But even a simple soda from the nearest convenience storesomehow becomes unbelievably fun when I am with you.Her music is defined by an alternative sound that moves seamlessly across genres,blending elements of pop, indie rock, and acid folk.Following her performances in South Korea in 2025,mayu has continued to attract growing attention both in Japan and internationally.In 2026, she performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 26s ROOKIE A GO-GO stage and is currently preparing to release her debut full-length album this autumn.
