The "De Profundis," is a music series with a
Gothic theme. It combines a blend of human
emotion and mechanical sound. Musically,
Takako looks to capture the decadence and
gloom of "Les Fleurs du Mal (The Flowers of
Evil)" of the French poet Baudelaire.
Tokyo born, Takako Ines Asahina, is well-known for her playing versatility as a concert pianist and composer. Since 2007, she has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Birdland NYC, Maison de la Culture du Japon a Paris, Festival Hall and The Symphony Hall in Osaka Japan, Billboard Live Yokohama in Japan. Her music led to her to being selected as the finalist in the U.S. International Song of the Year competition in 2009 and the Annual Great American Song Contest in 2010.
