Takashi Yoshimura
This is the first full-length original album in seven years by Takashi Yoshimura, a singer-songwriter who sings Japanese lyrics with great effort.
The 12 songs on this album were selected from songs that have not been recorded at live performances, unreleased songs that were in the process of being produced before he went on hiatus, and new songs that he has written since resuming his activities.
The songs are both acoustic and band sound with a horn section, and are influenced by rock, folk, pop, reggae, and more. The music is not about communicating, but rather conveying. The words and voices, which look deeply into the inner self and depict scenes of emotional movement, move the listener's heart.
Artist Profile
Takashi Yoshimura
A singer-songwriter born in Miyagi, raised in Iwate, and grew up in Okinawa, living in Fukuoka. He tries his best to sing Japanese lyrics. Around 2012, he began performing under the name "Takashi Yoshimura" as a solo singer and in a band. He has been active in organizing events such as "Kazuki Tomokawa LIVE IN OKINAWA", supporting touring musicians, and releasing CDs, but suddenly lost contact with him after a live performance in December 2017. In April 2022, after a four-and-a-half year disappearance, he suddenly resumed his activities. Based in Fukuoka and Okinawa, he sings all over Japan. His favorite musicians are Kazuki Tomokawa, Janis Joplin, Jonathan Richman, Daniel Johnston, Tatsuro Mukai, and Doburok. He drinks a lot and gets drunk a lot. He will never stop drinking and will never go away.
