Conditions for Happiness (original ver)

I used to believe
that happiness was something pure.

Something right, gentle-
something that would hurt no one.

But I was wrong.

Happiness is far more distorted-
selfish, fragile,
and dangerously close to breaking.

"Conditions of Happiness"
is the answer I found
beyond what's considered right.

It doesn't have to be fulfilling.
It doesn't have to be forgiven.

If there's something
you still can't let go of-

then maybe
that is your happiness.

It doesn't have to be beautiful.

I just didn't want
to lie about this feeling anymore.
