life crown2枚目のシングルである「MR2」は、「流されて生きるもどかしさを打開できない自信の無さ」をテーマに書き下ろした1曲。
過去作ではバンドサウンドを中心に楽曲を展開したが、今作ではエレクトロサウンドを取り入れ、表現の幅を拡大。
ヒップホップ調のビートを基盤に、自己主張できない不満な日々に流され浮遊する気持ちを、シンセの僅かな輪郭で保たれる音像で表現した。
サウンドに縛られないバンドとしてのスタンス、拡張する音楽性を予兆させ、次作へと布石となる楽曲に仕上げた。

    life crown is a four-piece rock band formed in 2020 by friends from junior high school. The band's musicality, which revolves around rough guitar sounds and riffs with an awareness of grunge and shoegaze, is strongly influenced by the US alternative music of the 1990s. The introverted lyrical world told with nerdy melodies and calm vocals contains the danger and fragility that all young people face.
