I've awakened from a nightmare, but I can't tell whether I'm dreaming or awake.

Days of sterile routine repeat endlessly, as if time itself were eternal.

Buried beneath endless to-do lists, never reaching what truly matters.
If the end were to come without warning,
what would I hold on to as everything turns to ash?

Searching for the "you" I long to see, wandering through our separate backrooms, sensing something wrong with this fabricated world, we keep searching for each other's reality.
