The Inspiration: A Twisted Homecoming
The foundation of "TRAVEL" was built during a recent trip otuyyuto took back to his hometown of Hawaii. Having spent over half a year entirely consumed by his music career in Japan, a lengthy stretch of absence for the artist, he returned to the islands expecting a much-needed reset. Instead, he encountered a jarring sense of displacement.

Having dedicated every waking hour to grinding in the studio back in Japan, otuyyuto found himself feeling entirely out of place in the very paradise where he grew up. The stark contrast between the island's slow rhythm and his internal hyper-drive triggered a profound creative crisis: the realization that the more energy he pours into making music, the less capable he becomes of enjoying the moments in life that are meant to be savored.

"Going back to Hawaii used to be my way of resetting, but this time I felt like a stranger," otuyyuto reflects. "I was completely disconnected from the island, and being separated from my girlfriend and close friends in Japan made me incredibly lonely. I was caught in this toxic loop-I desperately needed rest, but the moment I stepped away, intense guilt crept in. I felt like I was wasting time when I should have been in Japan grinding. So, I would pick right back up where I left off just to escape the guilt, only to end up completely exhausted again. 'TRAVEL' came directly out of that exhaustion, and out of realizing that through all that noise, the only clear reality I could see was one with my girlfriend by my side."
