Juz, a three-piece rock band known for their driving songs that pursue riffs and grooves, will release their 8th single, "Luminescent Fish" on June 17, 2026.
This song, which declares, "Shine by yourself - there is no light in this world." was written in a single day, inspired by a passage from the collection "Hakubyo" by the poet Kaito Akashi - a phrase known as the late movie director Nagisa Oshima's personal motto: "Like fish living in the deep sea, if you do not burn yourself, there is no light anywhere."
Beginning with a striking intro, this song is a beautiful work that contrasts intensity with stillness.
"I wrote it all in one go because I saw myself in that image - struggling to shine even in the underground scene where no light reaches." said Juz.
The music video for the song is scheduled to be released on Juz's YouTube channel at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 20 (JST). The release commemorative tour titled "Shine by Yourself, There Is No Light in This World" will kick off the day after the single's release, on June 18, at HEAVEN'S DOOR in Sangenjaya, Tokyo.
