Artist Profile

  • Yuka Yanagihara

    Yuka Yanagihara. Yuka was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. She grew up listening to music. Her parents loved a wide range of music. At the age of 4 she began playing the organ. At 8 she began playing classical piano and drums. In 2006 Yuka received a scholarship to study Jazz at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She made the Dean's List in 2006-2007. She studied under Joanne Blakeen, Scott Free, and Hal Crook. Now she composes and arranges music and gives about 300 concerts a year, Jazz, Classical Japanese, Bossa nova, and Pop. She currently lives in Tokyo and Osaka.
