The Japan Women's SAKE Award, also known as the Bishu Concours, is Japan's first sake competition judged exclusively by women.

Now in its fourth edition, the competition will take place in Sendai, the City of Trees, in 2026, marking its first-ever event in the Tohoku region.

For this Miyagi edition, Sendai-born singer-songwriter Aimee Ujiie has written a new song, "Ginjo no Hana," as the event's theme song.

This year marks 15 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Like the stars that have shone in the night sky and watched over us since ancient times, sake has been quietly passed from person to person, soothing hearts across generations.

An array of distinctive, exquisite sake will gather in Sendai, the City of Trees. Each cup, graced with the delicate aromas of ginjo sake, will blossom in its own way, captivating the hearts of the women on the judging panel.

Ujiie, who holds a sake lecturer qualification, will also participate as an official judge. "Ginjo no Hana" expresses her respect and gratitude for the fine sake born of brewers' dedication to perfecting their craft, as well as her love for her hometown of Sendai.

The violin is performed by Kumi Takahara, who also appeared on "Bijo Denshin," the theme song for the inaugural competition.

Yutaro Ugawa joins on piano for the first time.

Overall sound production and arrangement are by Yuta Konno, who is also active as a guitarist. In his first collaboration with Ujiie, he brings rich emotional depth to the world of the song.
