"Your Afterglow Fireworks"

As summer arrives again, I hear the distant sound of fireworks. But my sky has remained silent since that night.

You looked up at the sky and said, "It's beautiful,"

while I could only gaze at you. The sounds shook the world, and the lights melted time.

Our future, which was supposed to last forever.

As the last firework was swallowed by the night sky,
you said, "See you later."

It felt as if you knew that would be your last words,
and the darkness after the festival was too deep and cold.

You became the very light that remains within me.
On sad nights, you bloom behind my closed eyelids.

Once again this year, when I look up at the sky from here,

the afterglow fireworks you left behind,

that only I can see, are blooming repeatedly in this world where you no longer exist.
