リード曲の「蛇の目傘」は、歌詞とは裏腹に楽しさを感じさせ、澤田のヴォーカルを生かした耳なじみのよい演歌で、“歌手　澤田慶仁”の代表曲となる1曲。
カップリングの「別れる時は」は、どこか女性の寂しさを感じさせる、優しい秀作に出来上がった。
そしてボーナストラックとして収録した「泊大漁ソーラン」は、民謡調の明るく元気な盛り上がる1曲！
