Japanese electronic artist/vocalist Moskitoo, whose works have been released on 12k in New York, will release her long-awaited new single "Nunc" on April 2, 2021.
The new single "Nunc", which means "now" in Latin, expresses Moskitoo's music in the present tense, as the title suggests. With her own airy vocals and chorus floating in the space, a fantastic and euphoric sound spreads. This album was mixed and mastered by Keiichi Sugimoto, who also mixed the previous album "Mitosis". This album marks a new phase in Moskitoo's career as a songwriter and producer, who has been exploring sounds while gently crossing over from pop music to experimental music.
Born in Tokyo and grew up in Sapporo, Japan, Moskitoo is a sound designer and vocalist based in Tokyo. In 2007, Moskitoo released her debut album "Drape" on New York's 12k. Moskitoo creates her own musical world using everyday instruments and objects like guitars, xylophones, and toys, to produce a style where electronic sounds and the harmonic layer of her unique voice meet. In 2024, her latest work "Unspoken Poetry" was released on HEADZ/WEATHER(JP).
