We are pleased announce to publish Gion music video which is produced by Tonbo, a Tokyo-based artist and features Tokyo Ghetto Shamisen, a Shamisen (Japanese traditional strings instrument) player, This video is directed by PLAYBACK BOYS, a Tokyo-based VJ team and fusions dope abstract atmosphere which original track has and Japanese traditional sound of Shamisen. They do not just only imitate of Japanese culture but add psychedelic video effects with VJ-style, as the result they successfully achieves both nowadays Tokyo street culture and traditional Japanese culture.
Tonbo is a Tokyo based producer, his musical principle is to unravel his meaning of existence of his spirit with improvised mic performance and his original music. He released his first album, Tokyo Mad Cave, on Jan., 2017, then he has contributed remixes to his friend artists like Sakiko Osawa, Lotus Land, Muff and more. He also runs his party Tonbo Matsuri, a crazy bash to make a place for releasing spirits.
