Adieu, le rêveur

Au fond de mon coeur

Moi je respire

Encore sur la plage

Ma vie est la tienne

Même si tu ne m’entends plus

Ta voix, dans la brume

Je l’entends claire au loin

"Why ?" "I don’ t know."

"Why ?" and then

"I don’ t know."

"Why ?" "I don’ t know."

"Why ?" and then

"I don’ t know."

絵のように見える

黄色の雷雨

海、荒れる

霧の向こうで

The wave

Adieu, le rêveur

Au fond de mon coeur

Moi je respire

Encore sur la plage

(Now deeper and deeper

Into the mist)

冷たい雨みたいに

泣いても

消えない影みたいで

My faith

暮れない陽を抱いて

My hands

愛しい目を開いて

My dearest

Maika Loubté announces the release of her new single "Mist" on January 27, 2021 which will be from her upcoming album (yet to be titled), scheduled to drop later this year. "Mist" is a song about sudden goodbyes in life and the thrill of the unpredictable twists and turns life throws at us. The track has a two-part structure, which is rare for dance music and pop songs, and is characterized by a strong contrast between the first half of the song, which has a melancholic melody and a slow tempo, and the second half, which changes the ambiance of the song with a danceable beat. Also Maika wrote the song with French, Japanese and English lyrics, fusing together her multi-cultural background into her songwriting. Within the song's lyrics are words associated with changes in weather, such as "rain", "fog", and "thunder," which can be interpreted into changes in one's life.
The song is characterized by these strong contrasts and Maika describes the genre of this song as "Magic Pop'' because of its strong experimental elements, including some vocal sampling, that challenges popular genre styles and manners. Maika says of the song, "I tried to create textures that would make you feel the ups and downs of the reality of life, from the hustle and bustle of the city to the momentary breaths that fill you with a sense of loss or even peace, but hopefully still give you something to dance too...."
