The City of Sirens (feat. MIo Nakamura)

Project NAYUTA

    Project NAYUTA

Project NAYUTA is a Japanese progressive rock band formed in September 2018. This album, released in October 2020, marks a significant milestone in their discography.

While some of the compositions date back to keyboardist Madoka Tsukada's era with the legendary band Providence, they have been extensively rearranged to suit the current lineup. With the addition of a powerful twin-vocal dynamic, these pieces have been reborn as entirely new musical experiences.

A centerpiece of the album is the epic suite "Crystal Dragon." Based on Norse mythology, this theatrical masterpiece spans over 26 minutes, yet its complex and dynamic progression keeps the listener enthralled from start to finish.

Although a version of this suite was originally included on a self-produced cassette tape by Providence, the technological and equipment limitations of that era prevented the composer's full vision from being realized. Now, 30 years later-with seamless transitions and the intricate interplay of two distinct vocalists-it has finally been perfected to truly convey the composer's original intent.
