Masahiro Mori's second single of 2024, "2 Centimeters", will be released on March 29th.
This work, which is based on his own experiences and conflicts, is a "love song"that depicts the quiet flame of love that lies deep within the hearts of two people who seem to have grown cold over the years.
Even though the person I love is right in front of me, for some reason they seem far away.
The two of them really want to communicate, but there are so many misunderstandings that they can't express it honestly.
It depicts people opening their hearts to each other and trying to convey words of love before the window closes, like carefully opening a window that is only two centimeters wide.
Piano arpeggios, simple 8-beat drums and bass, and the sounds of two guitars overlap to create a painfully sharp rock sound.
The lyrics, composition, arrangement, performance, singing, and chorus were all written by Masahiro Mori himself.
Vocals and acoustic guitar were recorded at Monk Beat Records in Minamiboso City.
Masahiro Mori is also in charge of mixing and mastering.
He also designed the jacket for "A Window Open by 2 Centimeters",which is a metaphor for the mind before it closes.

He is currently striving to shake up the current J-POP scene with a sound that incorporates the flavors of AOR, disco music, British pop, and city pop from the 70s and 80s, and lyrics that touch the hearts of adults. During. When he was in 4th grade of elementary school, he heard Bach's flute sonata playing on the TV in the next room and was shocked. Since then, he has become familiar with baroque, classical, and film music, as well as the music of Simon & Garfunkel, Francis Ray, and Burt Bacharach. After that, his influences included Takuro Yoshida, Off Course, Yumi Matsutoya, Tatsuro Yamashita, Led Zeppelin, oldies, Motown, popular songs, British pop, techno pop, etc. During his junior high school days, he played bass in a band. During his university days, he regularly appeared at live music venues, performing original songs in a guitar-playing style. After graduating from university, he continued his band activities.
