Neo Traditional Singer Mackie (Masaki Kawakami) will be releasing a new cover single which would be the English version of the Japanese Showa masterpiece, Yujiro Ishihara's "Yogiri yo Konya mo Arigatou" on January 15th 2020.

The former vocalist of the rock band "FLOWER-CHILD" had recently been active as a solo singer and as a voice trainer for many celebrity talents, artists, and voice-over actors from Japan's top talent agencies including Johnny's Entertainment and Stardust Promotions.

The songs from the Show Era, when all the popular music were being broadcasted on T.V., are known as the masterpieces from the Golden Age of Japanese mainstream and still sung by many today. As the Era now became "Reiwa", Mackie will be making his first challenge of delivering this English cover song by preciously maintaining the roots of the songs, keeping it nostalgic for the Showa Era generations, fresh for the Heisei Era generations, and to make the Japanese masterpieces close for the global audience.

The single will also include a coupling song called the "Otis ga Kikoeru" which had been made in collaboration with Shintaro Ito who had written AKB48's million hit song "Koi suru Fortune Cookie". The collaboration had been since Mackie's 2nd album in 2001 where you can fully feel the attractiveness of Mackie with full speed. The 2nd coupling song to be included in the single will be called "Yasashisa ni Arigatou", which the song express Mackie's full appreciation to his fans for his solo 20th anniversary.
