A special remix of the tranquil number Hikari No Kioku from the 2023 original album Spectre by the jazz-based band BLU-SWING, which has a wide range of listeners in Japan, Asia and worldwide through its activities both domestically and internationally!
The remix by keyboardist Yusuke Nakamura is a lovers reggae style remix that is completely different from the tranquil feeling of the original song. The cool vocals of vocalist Yuri Tanaka are entangled in a comfortable track with a medium reggae beat and a jazzy horn section as accents. The finished product, which also includes a dubby mix, is as comfortable as waves of light. It's a song you'll want to listen to at the sea.
BLU-SWING is a five-member band based on jazz that explores its own unique sound. They made their major debut in 2008 with the album "Revision," which ranked first on club charts and third on J-pop charts in major record stores. Since then they have released multiple works, including live albums and production work, both domestically and internationally. They are also known for their international activities, such as performing at Japan Festivals in countries like Indonesia and Vietnam, and serving as the backing band for the concertmaster of the London Royal Opera House, Vasco Vassilev. In February 2023, they celebrated their 15th anniversary with a sold-out performance at the COTTON CLUB. In May of the same year, they released their first full album in about 8 years, "Spectre," and sold out their first China tour in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. They continue to expand their various activities worldwide.
