    Formed in Sapporo in 2026, petty is a three-piece band centered around Matts (Vocals/Guitar), alongside Ayu (Keyboards) and Kaede (Drums). The band name comes from petty knife, inspired by the fact that all the members are small in stature. Originally active as a solo artist, Matts formed the band to expand his live performance style into a full band sound. Their music combines catchy melodies with story-driven lyrics, where songs are often subtly connected to one another. With rich keyboard textures and dynamic arrangements, petty creates a grand and immersive band sound. Their live performances place strong emphasis on the atmosphere and world of each song, delivering a unique and expressive stage experience.
