Saho Terao, who is also a hot topic for the theme song "Like Magic" of NHK's documentary "Dear Nippon", which won the Galaxy Award given to outstanding TV and radio programs, will release her first new single in four years, "Ai no Arika", on May 29th. In this catchy work, where the charm of the singing voice is emotionally brought out, the piano that snuggles up to it is combined with the poetic world to depict a profound and beautiful scenery. The full album " Shoe Shine " is scheduled to be released in September.

    1981 年東京生まれ。2007 年ピアノ弾き語りアルバム「御身」でデビュー。 大林宣彦監督の 「転校生 さよならあなた」、安藤桃子監督の「0.5 ミリ」な ど主題歌の提供や CM 楽曲制作 (KDDI、JA 共済、PGF 生命ほか)、新聞(日経、北海道新聞)やウェブでの連載も多い。 オリジ ナルの発表と並行して、土地に埋もれた古謡の発掘、リアレンジしての音楽発信やライフワー クとし、『ミュージック・マガジン』誌での「寺尾紗穂の戦前音楽探訪」を連載中。 松本・浅間温 泉の「ユアリテ」(2021)や高知・須崎の「現代地方譚」(2022)など各地のアート・プロジェクトに 招聘され、リサーチを経ての表現活動も増えている。2009 年よりビッグイシューサポートライブ 「りんりんふぇす」を主催。2024 年に 11 回目を迎 え山谷の玉姫公園で開催された。 2022 年ドキュメンタリー「Dear にっぽん」(NHK)のテーマ 曲に「魔法みたいに」が選ばれ、教科書『高校生の音楽 I』(教育芸術社)にも同曲が掲載され る。 10 枚目のアルバム「余白のメロディ」は『ミュージック・マガジン』の年間ベスト(ロック部 門)の 10 枚に選ばれた。 2023 年オランダのアーティスト Charlotte Dumas の映像作品にピ アノ即興曲 を寄せ、写真集『Ao 青』にも QR コードで音源を収録。 最新刊は『日本人が移 民だったころ』。(河出書房出版) 音楽家や詩人、編集者などさまざまな知人に声をかけ自身 が編集するエッセイ 集「音楽のまわり」「わたしの反抗期」の出版シリーズもてがける。アルバム近作は「余白のメロディ」、写真家・石川直樹、映像作家・三好大輔 と作ったインス ト・アルバム「流した涙の数だけ美しい虹がたつ」。 あだち麗三郎、伊賀航と共に 3 ピースバ ンド「冬にわかれて」でも活動を続けている。
