Maki Miyamae, former member of the idol group CoCo who debuted in 1989, releases her first original song in nearly 30 years to commemorate her 50th birthday. The new track "waltz" is, as the title suggests, a calm, romantic medium-tempo ballad with a waltz rhythm. She participated in writing the lyrics for this work, featuring an honest, simple melody. The B-side includes the new song "happy lucky days" and a self-cover of "Shabon no Tameiki" and "Tsuki ni Hi ni ~ Itsumo Anata wo Omoitteiru". Music production (lyrics, composition, arrangement) is by composer Shinji Tamura, who has provided songs for SMAP, Masayuki Suzuki, Hitomi Shimatani, SKE48, NMB48, Pretty Cure, K-ON!, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and the Tales of series (games).
