Mina Kubota, a composer and pianist, has composed and arranged a variety of music for TV dramas such as "Gegege no Nyobo (My Husband is a Cartoonist)", "Yamaonna Nikki (Female Mountainee's Diary)", "Innocent Days", "Katsuragi Jiken (The Katsuragi Murder Case)" as well as for animations including the "ARIA" series, "Macross Delta" and "Momo Eno Tegami (A letter to Momo)". She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, which has trained a lot of versatile and resourceful musicians. As an artist, meanwhile, she has released acclaimed albums represented by "Moment" and "Crystal Tales", featuring her own piano and compositions.

Mina returned to where she started her career as a composer and pianist to produce an album titled "Rain", the culmination of solo piano music that explores the full potential of the instrument. If you are fascinated with the meditative, profound and colorful world of piano music (e.g., jazz tunes performed by Keith Jarrett or Brad Mehldau, or for that matter, classical music composed by Fauré or Debussy), this album will certainly be a new partner in your life.

While Mina keeps producing scores for film and TV, making full use of her expertise in orchestration and programming, her techniques and skills have translated into 11 piano pieces. You may find yourself wandering in a mystical labyrinth as you listen to these masterpieces depicting scenes from everyday life; the more you listen, the more you will love them.
