Noto kiriko Festibaru

he Kiriko Festival is held in various locations in Noto every year from summer to fall, and is enjoyed by people of all ages and genders alike, as it is considered to be the heart of Noto's people.
In various parts of Noto, gorgeous kiriko, painted in gold leaf, lacquered, and decorated with rising dragons, travel around the town and then dance heroically around fishing fires and bonfires. In recent years, emphasis has been placed on it as a tourist attraction.
Relatives, friends, and guests are invited to the festival meal, and everyone gives thanks for the year's big catch, bountiful harvest, and safety.
Even if young people who have left their hometowns do not return home for the Obon and New Year holidays, they return for the festival as bearers of the Kiriko.
I can't help but hope that Noto will recover and the Kiriko Festival will be revived.
