GIRLFRIENDZ is a Tokyo-based indie pop band formed in December 2025. The project began when Miguel, known for his work on Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain, a Spain-born game sound creator. With Miguel's background in game sound design, the music moves fluidly between indie textures and mainstream, anthemic pop. Their songs unfold like short films, carrying a strong sense of narrative and atmosphere. While rooted in a genuine love for what has traditionally been considered cool, GIRLFRIENDZ refuses to settle there - placing a full stop on the familiar and transforming it into new vibes.
